How to Communicate effectively

"The Meaning of the communication is the Response you get" (an NLP presupposition)

We often deal with new ideas and persuade people about our point of view.But there will be lots of built in obstacles for the people to automatically absorb and accept those informations.
Perhaps the greatest single stumbling block to real communication is the one-sided nature of speaking.Most of us think of "communicating" as a one-way process. We concentrate on what to say, how to say etc etc..During this time we are in a hurry to achieve our goals and get our messages to others, we forget a very important part,- "the other end of communication", ie someone with his own goals and ideas.Sometimes we are not realizing this.

Exchange of ideas between you and your targeted prospect is the key to effective communication. Listening is an active pursuit for selling your ideas. "Selling isn't happening when you are talking. Selling happens when your prospect is talking.Making the listener want to hear you is very important factor in communication.

What makes people listen?
Some of the very important factors are,

Self-interest;
Who's speaking;
How they say it.

Understanding the basic principles of how we communicate and why we listen – what works, what doesn't, and why – starts you on the road to a realistic appraisal of what you want to say and how you plan to say it.
